Ottoman Painters Association
The Ottoman Painters Association founded in 1908, is the first painters association in the Ottoman period. Mihri Hanım and Mufide Kadri were the first two woman members of the association.
The Association organised The Galatasaray Exhibitions, the first traditional art exhibitions of Turkey and published the art newspaper "Osmanlı Ressamlar Cemiyeti Gazetesi".
The Ottoman Painters Association renamed as Turkish Painters Association in 1921, Turkish Industrial Association in 1926 and Fine Arts Association in 1929.
